The opportunity to make this precise copy was a great privilege for me as it involved spending a lot of time with the original cello making uncommonly careful notes about its construction. This experience gave me the greatest respect for Antonio Stradivari all that time ago who, I'm sure, will not be bettered in my lifetime!
